Service Coordinator
Department: Field Service & Operations
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Service Coordinator to support daily operations at our shipyard and repair facility. This role is key to ensuring timely scheduling, efficient communication between teams, and exceptional service delivery to our clients. You will serve as the primary liaison between technicians, project managers, vendors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule all service jobs, repairs, and haul-out projects across the shipyard
- Act as the central point of communication between clients, marine technicians, vendors, and contractors
- Create and manage work orders, job files, and service documentation
- Track and update project timelines, material orders, and job completion status
- Coordinate with the parts manager and finance team to have a seamless internal process.
- Monitor technician availability, labor hours, and job cost tracking
- Provide exceptional customer support and follow-up to ensure satisfaction and project clarity
- Maintain service calendars and ensure all jobs are properly logged in the system
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in a coordination or dispatch role (marine, construction, or technical service preferred)
- Familiarity with marine systems, terminology, or shipyard operations is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and project scheduling tools (Monday.com, Google Workspace, or similar) Experience with bluefolder.com a plus.
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with multiple priorities
